To shield the agricultural sector from weather uncertainties, the Andhra Pradesh government has established a State El Niño Command and Control Centre in Gannavaram, Krishna district. The centre will utilize satellite data and 15-day rainfall forecasts to identify areas at risk of drought and water scarcity.
